Oberon will have all the characteristics of a world tourer that you can load up and do kilometers and kilometers, maintenance free. We did this in co-operation with world’s best in the segment. Selected steel tubes from Columbus Zona with CrMo steel touring fork. This will be a flared drop bar road touring bike with Rohloff Speedhub and Gates Carbon CDX:EXP belt transmission. Got custom-made heavy duty rims from RAD15, a boutique firm in Netherlands. Hy/Road disc brakes from TRP. SP dynamo hubs + 650x50c tyres from Goodyear. Leather seats from Tabor of Portugal and Deda components.

The bike is developed in collaboration with Scolarian. Apart from standard 5 sizes, we can also make fine custom measurements against order. The geometry is developed aiming for relaxed multiple day expedition rides. It is considerably upright as reflected in the stack values. All frames are designed with a mid-low stand over height making the top tube slant with enough inseam clearance. With a longish chain stay length of 453 mm combined with a trail value of 70s, you get a stable bike whether you load front or back or both.

 

Tyre clearance for both frame and fork is upto 27.5”x2.25” (without fender), 27.5”x2.1” (with fender) and we'll be providing 650x50c tyres.

Further to receive Rohloff’s full product WARRANTY, a frame stiffness test is applicable when the hub is used in conjunction with Gates Carbon Drive. This test is required before an OEM can use Rohloff internal hub with the Gates Carbon Drive belt system. POSST Oberon frame is successfully tested and approved for fitment of Rohloff SPEEDHUB with the Gates Carbon Drive belt drive system.
